Ind Vs WI | 3rd T20I Match Preview: Who Will Win The Decider Match?

About the Match:

Team India proved that it is good as far as the Test and ODI formats of the game are concerned, but they were not competent enough in the second T20I match against the West Indies Team. As both the teams, Team India and West Indies Team, have one win in the series, it is well-balanced. Now, both of them will set their eyes and focus on the last and final match. The third T20 match of the series will be held at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 11th December. Both the teams have a similar mindset and aggression and are expected to hold nothing back in the upcoming final match as well. The most exciting and enthralling finale is going to be held on Wednesday.

As per the weather forecast, it looks very good with clear skies and zero chances of rain. The temperature is expected to be around 28 degrees Celsius while humidity could be around 68% during the time of the match.

Team India:

As there is less than a year left for the most awaited ICC World Cup T20, in every game, Team India is experimenting to get their team combination and performance right as soon as possible. As they pushed Shivam Dube up in the batting order, it worked well. On the flip side, it hurt the performances of Team India skipper Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer.

In the very first opening match of the series, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul helped their team to chase a tall score in Hyderabad, but both players failed on Friday. Shivam Dube and Rishabh Pant helped India to get to a total of 170 runs on the board. The total score, however, proved to be inadequate to challenge the powerful West Indies team batting line-up.

Though both batting and bowling didn’t fire for India, it was the fielding that was the biggest letdown. India conceded at least 20 extra runs in the field through misfields and dropped a couple of catches. These runs eventually turned out to be the difference between a win and a loss. As Team India’s bowling performance was not up the mark in both the matches, we expect them to experiment a bit in this department.

Team West Windies:

There is the reason behind why Team West Indies are the defending champions in the shortest format of the game. The team has capable players who can easily hit the ball right from the word go. Although they are placed in the number ten position in the ICC T20I rankings, they are a lot better than what the numbers reflect.

While their batting has been very remarkable in both the games, the bowling seems to lack of penetration. Virat Kohli disrupted the relatively inexperienced bowling attack as India achieved a total score of 207 with remarkable ease.

In the second match, however, their bowlers did a put up a good performance by pulling Team India back after which it was unable to put up a towering score yet again. Walsh performed well but it would be interesting to watch how he performs in Mumbai. West Indies Team has a batting line-up that is second to none and if they manage the bowling department against India, then the India Team will have to put in more effort to win the series.
