IND vs ENG: Sourav Ganguly Gives Updates About His Health

Former Indian skipper and current serving BCCI president Sourav Ganguly went through a couple of health scares in recent months. The 48-year-old legendary Indian southpaw suffered two minor heart strokes and was rushed to the hospital in Kolkata. Keeping his health in mind, Sourav Ganguly was advised by his doctors to not leave his house for a while.

IND vs ENG: Sourav Ganguly will attend the T20 games in Ahmedabad

Sourav Ganguly didn’t attend a single match in the recently conducted 4-match Test series between India and England. He was also missing from the IPL mini-auction which took place in February this year. However, Ganguly has fully recovered now and will soon join the Indian team in the upcoming T20 series against England in Ahemdabad.

Sourav Ganguly, in a recent interview with India Today on Monday, stated that he is absolutely fine now. “Fit, absolutely fine, I am back to work for a while now. It was a small blemish. I really don’t see it as a scare, as you grow older, adjustments tend to happen. I am very lucky that it was a very small one, it could have been bigger. But they say, you need to address immediately whatever happens. That was the best part of it. Fit and fine, that’s the best part of it,” Ganguly said during an interview with Boria Mazumdar.

“I will travel and go for the T20Is. I will go to Ahmedabad for either the 2nd or the 3rd T20I. I could not travel then because I was just two weeks out of the hospital. I was not allowed to take a place. Now it’s fine, everything is healthy, I will take the vaccine and then start flying. I am back at work and absolutely fit, to be honest. Absolutely spick and span, medical science is so good these days,” Ganguly revealed.
