Team India created history with a heroic win over Australia in the four-match “Border Gavaskar” Test series. After a humiliating loss at Adelaide, team India made a firm comeback at Melbourne which resulted in their win. Ravichandran Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari’s cool and calm composure halted the Australians for a draw at Sydney. And the final nail to Australia’s coffin was India’s unbelievable win at Gabba.
The Australians lost for the first time in 33 years in Brisbane, marking India’s first win at the same venue. The injury-laden Indian side fought till their last breath to dismantle the mighty Australians in their own fortress.
IND vs AUS: R Ashwin mocks the Australians
R Ashwin, who was one of the unsung heroes of the Sydney Test, was left out of India’s playing XI in the fourth Test due to injury. However, the 34-year-old all-rounder was all pumped up during India’s chase of 328 runs at Gabba. He was spotted supporting the ‘Men in Blue’ side from the stands and even hailed his side on Twitter.
It will be safe to say, that R Ashwin seemingly had revenge on his mind as he was seen mocking the Australians via his Tweets. Australian skipper Tim Paine tried to get into R Ashwin’s skin during the third Test at Sydney. Wicketkeeper Tim Paine was constantly trying to get the better of R Ashwin with his words from behind the stumps. Tim Paine crossed all the boundaries when he was captured abusing the Indian spinner.
Nevertheless, Ashwin kept his patience and did the needful for the Indians with his bat. R Ashwin seemingly waited for the right moment to reply to Tim Paine as he penned down a Tweet to take a huge dig at the Australian. R Ashwin also trolled the Indian critics who wrote off the ‘Men in Blue’ even before the series kicked-off.
