One of the undisputed heroes of the Sydney Test, Rishabh Pant was back at his wicketkeeping duties for the Indians at Gabba. The 23-year-old seemingly changed the momentum for the Indians in the third Test with his blistering knock of 97 runs. Pant’s chances to feature in the 4th Test were very slick, considering the injury he picked up at Sydney. However, the youngster recovered in time and was seen representing his country behind the stumps on Day 1 of the 4th Test.
IND vs AUS: Rishabh Pant insists Ajinkya Rahane for a review
Rishabh Pant was at his comical best, yet again, while keeping for the Indians. During the 84th over, Rishabh Pant started appealing for a catch behind the wickets of Tim Paine off T Natarajan. Although, it looked as if Pant was the only one who was convinced of the edge as no other Indian player, including Natarajan himself, was interested in appealing to the DRS.
Pant, then, started pleading to skipper Ajinkya Rahane to go to the third umpire. It was a hilarious moment watching Pant’s efforts to convince his skipper. Vice-captain Rohit Sharma was seen laughing while looking at Pant’s antics. Cricket Australia’s official Twitter account uploaded the captured scene.
