IND vs AUS: What really happened?

An Indian fan by the name of Navaldeep Singh spotted the five named cricketers having their meal in an indoor restaurant in Melbourne. Singh decided to pay their bill without their consent. When Rohit Sharma and others got to know about Singh’s gesture they acknowledged his kindness. Singh covered his encounter with the Indian cricketers on his Twitter account.

Singh further claimed that Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant hugged him, which was the main reason behind the controversy. Pant was blamed for breaching the Coronavirus protocol after getting in contact with a local citizen. Singh, however, cleared the air later by stating “Pant never hugged me it was all said in excitement we maintained social distance all thru Apologies for miscommunication.”

India clinched a dominating win in the second Test at Melbourne to go level with the Australians in the on-going “Border Gavaskar” series. The Indians will next face the Baggy Greens at Sydney on January 7, 2021.
