Here is IND vs ENG 4th Test Day-4 Highlights.

IND vs ENG 4th Test Day-4 Highlights

India has started the day at 270/3, with a 171-run lead. It was just a means of deciding how often runs they would score in order to set a goal for England. However, after a slow start, Chris Woakes‘ arrival completely turned the whole thing dramatically. On quick order, he sent back Ravindra Jadeja and Ajinkya Rahane, trapping them flat in front of the stumps. Furthermore, Virat Kohli looked impressive with a few spectacular drives.

However, Moeen Ali’s brilliant delivery nicked the tip of his bat, and the catch was caught at slip, leaving India at 312/6. The lead was just 213 runs at the time, and England had a chance. However, nothing can be certain unless Shardul Thakur is in the midst. Despite creating an impression in the first session, the gentleman was back at it again, this time with Rishabh Pant displaying excellent discipline and determination.

Shardul Thakur once again took advantage of the exhausted English conditions

Even with circumstances favorable for batting, the duo, particularly Shardul, took advantage of the exhausted English defense. Both pacers and spinners are beaten by his smashing straight drives and backfoot strikes. He also reached the half-century in 65 balls, which was faster and sooner than Pant.

Well before portion, the pair contributed 100 runs for the 7th wicket. Joe Root finally broke the partnership when he got an edge off Thakur’s bat, but not before he scored 60 runs. Rishabh Pant soon reached his 50, but in the following over, he nicked another straight to Moeen Ali. After then, England would have anticipated a speedy conclusion to the innings. Unfortunately, their path was marked with much greater disappointment.

In the meantime, Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav opted to include some entertainment. Both of them hammered some fantastic strokes, particularly the former, to register 24 and 25 runs, accordingly, as they combined for 36 runs. It took England 148.2 overs to finish up India’s innings to score 466 runs to set a target of 368 for the English.

Rory Burns had to struggle with Ravindra Jadeja

England openers Haseeb Hameed and Rory Burns went out to the ground after over 700 minutes of fielding and performed a respectable job. In the remaining 32 overs of the game, the combination didn’t give India an option. Burns had to struggle with Ravindra Jadeja, who was continually placing the ball in the difficult, and the left-hander, although being tough at times, did a good job staying in the middle.

England finished the day on 77/0, requiring 291 runs on the last day. The opening session, as if it has been all through the Series, will have to be crucial, with the ball projected to swing a little in the 1st hour.
