Pandya is undergoing preparation underneath the guidance of the team’s bowling coach, Ashish Nehra, with Darshan Nalkande, Abhinav Manohar, and Varun Aaron also actively participating. Hardik seems to have been mainly idle on the international level, being last represented India at the 2021 T20 World Cup, where the squad was knocked in the group stage after losing to Pakistan & New Zealand.

Despite that, Pandya has been made himself unavailable for national selection in order to work on his healing from a reoccurring back injury that has prevented him from bowling and prompted him to play purely as a batsman for any side including his former IPL outfit Mumbai Indians and India.
“Hardik Pandya, Abhinav Manohar, Darshan Nalkande, Varun Aaron are currently training at the IPCL ground in Baroda. The camp kickstarted on February 25 and it will conclude on March 2,” a source said.
In the meantime, the Titans had a good showing in the IPL 2022 mega auction, in which they acquired Jason Roy, Rahul Tewatia, Matthew Wade, Mohammed Shami, Vijay Shankar, David Miller, Lockie Ferguson, Wriddhiman Saha, among several others, who could take part their retained players Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill.
Followed by the formation of the Titans and the Lucknow Super Giants, the forthcoming episode of the IPL will feature 10 teams and begin on March 26. This will be the 1st time the league has had more than 8 franchises since 2011.
