Sourav Ganguly: “Never Thought Would See My City Like This”
Many parts of the country have been in lock-down as a precautionary measure to stop the spreading of the dreadful coronavirus.
The shutdown of the streets will last until March 31st during which people are warned against coming out and should be in their houses.
As a result of the lock-down, the cities which normally are busy with people and traffic have been wearing a deserted look.
BCCI President and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly who is also locked at his home said about the empty streets of his home city Kolkata that he never expected the situation would be like this without anybody.
He tweeted, “Never thought would see my city like this .. stay safe .. this will change soon for the better …love and affection to all ..” along with few pictures of the city’s iconic landmarks without any people present there.

In most parts of Bengal including Kolkata and 8 other districts, people are staying indoors due to this lock-down in order to fight the menace of the dangerous virus.
The restrictions on the movement of people which the government has said for their own safety began on Monday at 5 P.M. and will extend until Friday.
The number of cases in the Eastern state has jumped to nine and one of the patients has been dead.
“Can’t Remember When I Was Free At 5 P.M. Last”
Ganguly has earlier stated he does not remember the last time when he was free without any work at 5 in the evening.
In an Instagram post, the left-handed batsman said, “Amidst all the coronavirus scare .. happy to sit in the lounge at 5 pm.. free… can’t remember when I did last ..”
The Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) has shut down its office and asked its employees to work from home because of the corona pandemic which has already infected 511 people and claimed 10 lives.
