Fighting With COVID-19 Is The Priority Now, Says Amit Mishra

I Decided To Help And I Tried To Provide Items Of Basic Utility:

Amit Mishra, the old Indian leg spinner and loyalist of the Delhi franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL).While Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga is the top wicket-Keeper in IPL with 170 wickets with a lot of kudos, there are few who remember that Mishra holds the second position with 157 wickets.

In these times of national lockdown, at the age of 37, Mishra was doing a bit of service as he took the streets of New Delhi to donate essential items to the poor because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I have friends in the police and in various NGOs who told me during a talk that people face big challenges with basic needs. I decided to help and tried to offer basic supplies such as raw foods, masks, and kits for those who need it during a live Instagram chat with the official handle of Delhi Capitals,”

Amit Mishra Says Delhi Capitals Team Is In My DNA After Eight Seasons:

When asked how IPL could play in empty phases, Mishra insisted that the pandemic control now has the highest priority. “I think coronavirus is the most significant thing at the moment to ensure that we take all precautions. We will undoubtedly have cricket until the condition is better. It means fans will at least appreciate the sport on TV,“ the veteran said.

Speaking with the Delhi team for a long time, Mishra said that after spending eight years with them, he felt emotionally tied up with the franchise. “I’m emotionally linked to the eight-year-old Delhi Capitals here. I think the team is now part of my DNA. I just want to try and give up 100% every time, I go on the field,“ he said.
