Pramod Kumar Chawla, the father of famous Indian cricketer Piyush Chawla, passed away after getting tested positive for COVID-19. The second wave of the lethal disease has affected India in a horrendous manner. Chawla announced the sad news on his social media account.
Piyush Chawla Pens Down An Emotional Post For His Late Father
Piyush Chawla, who was last seen playing for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, penned down a heartfelt message on his social media account. Chawla mentioned that his father lost the fight against the post-COVID complications. Chawla added that he lost the pillar of his strength.
“With the deepest grief, we announce that my father, Mr Pramod Kumar Chawla, left for the heavenly adobe on 10th May 2021. He was suffering from Covid and Post-covid complications. We invite your kind thoughts and prayers in these difficult times. May his noble soul rest in peace,” the post read on which there was a small picture of Piyush’s father.

Chawla captioned the photo, “life won’t be same without him anymore, lost my pillar of strength today.” Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina paid his respect to Chawla’s father. Raina commented, “Sorry to hear bro Rest in peace” on the Indian spinner’s post.
