Virat Kohli on Dinesh Karthik
In the ongoing 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), RCB is excelling. Dinesh Karthik, as he is affectionately called, is one of the primary causes. Despite Karthik performing admirably in every game, he is proving to be the finisher, which RCB has been looking for, particularly after the exit of AB de Villiers. It was indeed clear while Kohli interviewed DK and told that Karthik is now at his best to perform since 2013. Let us have a look at what has been said by Virat Kohli on Dinesh Karthik.
Explosive half-centuries from experienced hitters Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell enabled Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to post a competitive 189/5 in 20 overs versus Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 27 of IPL 2022 on Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Thanks for getting us across the line: Virat Kohli on Dinesh Karthik
“He has been amazing. With those scores, DK has definitely made a strong claim to play all forms of cricket. It’s been wonderful. I won’t even say ‘long may it continue’ because it will and you’re in that of space and I can see that. It was an honor to watch you bat again. Thanks for getting us across the line. AB will be very proud watching from Pretoria, sitting at home and watching you finish games for us and take the team across the line,” said Kohli.
Dinesh Karthik mounted a powerful counter-attack partnering Shahbaz Ahmed for the unbeaten 6th wicket stand following Maxwell had saved RCB from a worrisome 40/3 while Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant had opted them to bat first despite winning the toss.

“I must admit that I have a bigger goal. I have been working really hard. I have been trying to do everything to be a part of the Indian team. Depends on the bowler, whoever is bowling well. I respected Kuldeep as he was bowling well. When you are batting at the death, you try and get under the ball more while hitting” DK said at the post-match conference.
“You make me sound like a serial killer (laughs when asked as to how was he so calm and hit them so hard at the same time). I must admit positions and calmness comes from preparations. Apart from that staying in the moment sounds cliched but it works. He (Shahbaz) is a very special player, I am very sure he is going to do special things. He can hit a ball a long long way. And he backs himself which I like about him”, he added.
Karthik has already stated that he wants to get something immense for the nation, which signifies he is willing to participate in the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.
