Will CSK Retain MS Dhoni In Mega Auction
Chennai Super Kings fans were on cloud 9 when their legend MS Dhoni, in a pre-match conference, confirmed that he hasn’t left his legacy behind yet. While, many were assuming that this is going to be the last time we will witness Dhoni play, but it, now, looks like he still has a lot of cricket left in him. A CSK official confirmed that the first retention card at the auction will be used to retain the captain of the Yellow Brigade. “There will be retention and that is a fact. The ship needs its captain and rests assured he will be back next year,” the official said.
What Did Dhoni Had To Say After Winning IPL 2021
MS Dhoni was in a joyous mood after winning his 4th IPL with CSK. Dhoni, in a post-match interview, said “Yes we are a most consistent team looking at the stats but we have also lost finals. Not letting the opposition in is something we consciously wanted to improve. I hope CSK in the coming years will be known for that. We don’t really talk a lot. It’s more one-on-one. The moment you talk in a team room there is a bit of pressure. You can’t deliver without a good team. We also have great individuals as well.”
When asked about his future, Dhoni said it all depended on the BCCI. ” Again I’ve said it before, it depends on BCCI. With two new teams coming in……we have to decide what is good for CSK. It’s not about me being there in top-three or four. It’s about making a strong core to ensure the franchise doesn’t suffer. The core group, we have to have a hard look to see who can contribute for the next 10 years.”
