BCCI Allows Shreyas And Natarajan To Feature In IPL 2nd Leg

The IPL’s second leg will begin on September 19 in the Uae. The franchise had to put its heads screwed on the beginning of the series to figure out who would be replaced and who would be added. Lets look at Shreyas Iyer & Natarajan Allowed Comeback By BCCI

The BCCI, on the other hand, has now permitted them to return players who were injured and substituted during the Indian stage of the competition. Shreyas Iyer as well as T Natarajan will now be ready for their respective series as a result of this.

Hemang Amin, the IPL’s chief operating officer, stated that players brought in as substitutes but doubtful to be sustained for the 2nd leg will join the IPL’s recognized set of players. He also stated that if the franchise restored the initial player, he would not be included in the listed group.

Replacement player for the previous unavailability will need to select any one of them: Amin

He had already requested that the IPL clubs submit a list of substitute players, with a deadline of August 20. “If in case any player who was injured or unavailable during the India leg of IPL 2021 and is now fit or available then the franchise which had taken a replacement player for such previous unavailability, will need to select any one of them,” Amin said in an Interaction.

Due to a shoulder injury sustained during the white-ball series against England at home, Shreyas Iyer, the Delhi Capitals captain, was forced to miss the first half of the competition. Rishabh Pant took over as captain in his absence, and the team had a strong showing in the opening leg of the competition. The team is yet to declare who would captain the squad for the balance of the IPL season.

The arrival of Natarajan will be a huge boost for the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. The squad is now in the last place and has had a disappointing campaign so far. Due to a painful knee, the bowler had to withdraw from the IPL and undergo surgery.

Many players had withdrawn from the event due to pressures and mental stress. The 2nd leg of the IPL will be held in the UAE, with Mumbai Indians facing off vs Chennai Super Kings on 19′ September.
