Virat Kohli registered an unwanted record in ODIs

Kohli is the first Indian captain to record a ten-wicket loss in ODIs against Australia. Australian team scored 256 runs in 37.4 overs and registered a brilliant victory against India.

In 1981, New Zealand registered their first ten-wicket victory against India in ODIs. Later, the West Indies team registered the same victory margin in 1997. South Africa team successfully registered 10-wicket victory twice against India in 2000 and 2005.

Australian team first time registered a 10-wicket victory against India on Tuesday.

Indian Team needs to bounce back strong

Presently, the Australia team leads the series with 1-0 against India. In a three-match series, the Indian team has to win both the remaining matches to win this series against Australia. The second ODI match is going to held at Saurashtra Stadium, Rajkot and the final ODI will be held at Bengaluru. The Indian team has to put up a tough fight to win these two matches.

Brilliant tons from Australian openers

Both David Warner and captain Finch scored brilliant centuries and led the team to a comfortable victory. David Warner won the player of the match award for his unbeaten 128 runs, which included 17 fours and 3 sixes.

Dhawan- the lone warrior

Earlier of the match, Indian Opener Shikar Dhawan played a top-notch innings with KL Rahul. As Rohit Sharma got out early, Rahul and Dhawan built a good partnership of 121 runs. Shikar Dhawan scored 74 runs in 91 balls which included 9 fours and 1 six. Later, Pant and Jadeja played some responsible innings and helped the Indian team to quite a respectable score of 255.

Australian bowlers shine 

All Australian bowlers picked up at least a wicket. Mitchell Starc picked up 3 wickets in his 10 overs spell while Pat Cummins picked up 2 wickets. Australian spinner Adam Zampa picked up the wicket of Virat Kohli. Indian batsman struggled a lot to score runs against Australian bowlers.
