Hindi commentator Aakash Chopra has made a name for himself in the cricketing world, courtesy to the abundance of knowledge he holds about the game. The 43-year-old hands his opinion over every issue surrounding the world of cricket and never shies to express his point of view over trending topics. Aakash Chopra’s ODI XI included some obvious names. However, certain elites and top guns from the past decade failed to make it to Chopra’s XI.

Aakash Chopra Leaves Out Top Guns From His ODI XI
While India’s MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma made the cut in Chopra’s XI, India’s 2011 WC “MVP” Yuvraj Singh was not included in the list. Other heavyweights like Kumar Sangakkara, Kane Williamson, Steve Smith, Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, David Warner, Shoaib Malik, Babar Azam, Brendon McCullum, Martin Guptill, Ross Taylor also didn’t feature in Aakash Chopra’s ODI XI of the decade.

Aakash Chopra named MS Dhoni as the captain of his side. However, one can not debate over Chopra’s ODI XI, as these set of players have achieved incredible heights in the last decade. Virat Kohli is the sixth highest run-scorer in ODIs overall. Rohit Sharma is the only ODI player to have scored three double centuries.
Hasim Amla has a total of 8,113 runs under his belt in ODI format. MS Dhoni is tipped as India’s best captain till date. AB de Villiers has scored a total 9,577 runs in ODIs.
