On Sunday, July 10, during the third and final game of the three-match T20I series against the England National Cricket Team, which was played at Trent Bridge in Nottingham under the captaincy of Jos Buttler, 22-year-old Jammu and Kashmir Express pacer Umran Malik had a disappointing day on the field.
After dominating the previous two games and taking a 2-0 lead into the third T20I, the India National Cricket Team made four significant changes to the starting XI.
Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, pacer Jasprit Bumrah, and all-rounder Hardik Pandya were substituted in the starting XI by leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, bowler Avesh Khan, pacer Umran Malik, and batter Shreyas Iyer.
In the Nottingham T20I matchup against England, Umran got off to a bad start by giving up 17 runs in his first over. He took the wicket of the first batter, Jason Roy, in his second over after giving up 10 runs. The express pacer surrendered 14 and 17 runs in his third and fourth overs.
The bowling numbers for Umran Malik’s 4-over session were 4-0-56-1, which rank third among all bowlers for the India National Cricket Team in T20I matches.
Notably, Umran Malik made his T20I debut in the opening game of the two-match T20I series against the Ireland National Cricket Team in Dublin. Due to his poor performance in the first over, the match’s acting captain, Hardik Pandya, only gave him one over. He took one wicket and surrendered 42 runs in his second T20 International match.
The bowler has only been able to take two wickets overall in his three T20 International matches, with an average of 56.00, an economy of 12.44, and a strike rate of 27.0.
Today it's Umran Malik on his radar. Sanju bro he is Umraaaan not UmRun (I guess).

Screwing up names since eternity.
No, Umran Malik is not ready for international cricket! Not until he develops a few variations. Wonder what the bowling coach's up to. Pace on every delivery won't work in T20s. #ENGvIND
