The table-toppers maintained their dominance in the group stage by claiming a comprehensive victory over Hobart Hurricanes by 8-wicket wicket at the North Sydney Oval on Sunday.
Already qualified for the finals on Nov 26, Sydney Sixers team keep up the winning momentum to remain in confidence with 6 days more to go for the trophy claiming match.
A pure all-around performance helped the Sydney side claimed a comfortable win. As first, they restricted the Hobart team for just 156 in 20 overs, then their batters did no mistake and chased down the target in 18.5 overs with 8 wickets in hand.

Invited to bat, Hobart Hurricanes came on field with an aggressive approach. Their batters were smashing balls but also lost couple of wickets in the process.

Mignon Du Preez and Heather Graham then tried to add some runs on the scoreboard and did a 38-run partnership.

Sixers too started the batting with an aggressive approach, both Suzie Bates and Alyssa Healy continuing to score run on good pace before Jensen removed wicketkeeper batter Healy for 26.
Elysse Perry then joined the crease with Bates and both added 22 as Bates was the one, who let the crease.
But Perry and Ashleigh Gardner didn’t let the pressure distract them as they kept on making the right shots, smashing loose bowls to boundaries and tickling the scoreboard with ones and twos.
Perry scored a brilliant half-century in the process, while Gardner remained not out for 45 as they both handed their side a comfortable victory by 8 wickets.
Perry played an unbeaten knock of 45 off 39. Gardner, however missed her well-deserved fifty, but recorded runs with the best strike-rate among other batters of her team in her 45-run knock off 29.
Sydney Sixers, who won 11 out of 14 games in the group stage already qualified for the bug finals on November after finishing at top spot at the points table.
While Hobart will most likely to finish at either third or fourth spot and will advance for the knockout round.
