‘Shabaash Mithu’ Shining Light On The Journey Of Mithali Raj And Women in Cricket

Shabash Mithu, starring Taapsee Pannu, has just released its teaser. The film is based on the life of former Indian Women’s Cricket Team captain Mithali Raj, an exceptional cricketer. Mithali Raj has played international cricket for 23 years and has amassed over 10,000 runs in one-day internationals, breaking several records. The film chronicles her struggle to become a cricketer in the face of adversity.

The trailer for Shabaash Mithu, a Taapsee Pannu-starrer biopic on former India women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj, was released on Monday by filmmaker Srijit Mukherji.

On July 15, the movie will be released in theatres. Only a few hours after Viacom 18 Studios released the Shabaash Mithu teaser on Monday, it has more than 4 lakh views on YouTube.

The struggle of the women’s cricket team to define themselves is also depicted. The trailer, which was released by former cricketer Sourav Ganguly, reinforces the concept that “Nazariya badlo, khel badalgaya” (the game changes when you alter your perspective).

Mithu, a girl who aspires to be a cricketer, is played by Taapsee Pannu in the trailer. With the exception of her coach, played by Vijay Raaz, she is mocked by everyone for her request. He recognizes her talent and recruits her to the ladies’ cricket squad.

Mithu has a difficult time since she is teased and mocked. She learns to keep her head high in the face of ridicule and holds her own in the face of society. Even though it’s a little clichéd, the film looks to be an amazing biography.

Taapsee Pannu plays Mithu in the teaser, a girl who aspires to be Shabaash Mithu was shot in both domestic and foreign settings. Ajit Andhare is the creative producer of Shabaash Mithu, which is produced by Viacom18 Studios and directed by Srijit Mukherji, and written by Priya Aven.

Taapsee had tweeted a selfie of herself following the session earlier this year. “I was 8 when someone made me imagine that cricket will one day be more than a gentleman’s game,” she wrote. Even we shall have a squad and a personality.

‘Women in Blue’ is a film about women who wear blue. We’ll be there shortly. #ShabaashMithu It’s the end of the movie! Prepare to cheer for the 2022 World Cup! #WomenInBlue.”
