All the teams are gearing up for the T20 World Cup 2022. On one hand where qualifiers have started. Those who are already in Super 12 are playing warm-up matches ahead of the tournament. South Africa and Newzealand played their starter Warm up matches on Monday. The Proteas emerged victorious by 9 wickets. Let us look at SA vs NZ Match Highlights in detail.

New Zealand’s Epic Batting Fail

The New Zealand team’s WARM-UP match versus South Africa turned out to be a nightmare. The Proteas bowlers first shot down the Kiwis for just 98. Guptill was the highest run scorer for the Kiwis. He scored 26 off 23 while Phillips scored 20 off 18 balls. None of the batters scored above 15 apart from the two. Only 3 batters scored in double digits.

After coming from a loss against Pakitan in the finals of the Tri-series, New Zealand will have a lot to think about their form. Their batters are humiliating them time and again.

For South Africa, Keshab Maharaj took 3 wickets. Wayne Parnell and Shamsi took 2 wickets each. Jansen, Markram, and Rabada took 1 wicket each. It was a complete bowling effort by the whole team.

Rilee Rossouw then hit an unbeaten 54 off only 32 balls to lead South Africa to victory in just 11.2 overs. The South African hitters humiliated the Kiwi pacers. Before the former was dismissed for 27, Reeza Hendricks and Rilee Rossouw combined for 66 runs in only 6 overs.

Lockie Ferguson was the most expensive bowling. He bowled 3 overs and got hit for 36 runs. Ish Sodhi was the only bowler with a wicket.

South Africa will next play Bangladesh on 19th October to play their next warm-up match of the tournament. New Zealand will have a lot to work on. The team will meet India next on the 19th as well. India is coming from a win against Australia in their first Warm up.
