Rishabh Pant shifted from ICU to private room; BCCI to take call whether to move him overseas

To lower the danger of infection, Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant was transferred from the ICU to a private room. He is currently being treated at a hospital in Dehradun as he recovers from his wounds.

According to media reports, the BCCI will decide later whether to send the batsman abroad for ligament surgery. His family has asked for seclusion so that he can heal more quickly.

Rishabh Pant shifted to private suite due to fear of infection

Rishabh Pant “is doing well and has been shifted to a private suite due to fear of infection”, said Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) Director Shyam Sharma on Monday. “Due to fear of infection, we have told his family and hospital administration to shift him to a private suite. He is doing better and will recover soon,” said Sharma to ANI.

“Those who are going to meet Pant should avoid, as there are chances of infection. There should be no VIP movement to meet Pant. And people visiting him should avoid it. As there are chances of infection for Pant,” Sharma told ANI over the phone.

“He is stable and recovering well. Our BCCI doctors are in touch with the doctors here. Jay Shah is monitoring it. As of now, he’ll remain admitted here. He told me that he tried to save (his car) from a pothole (when the accident occurred).” said Shyam Sharma, who arrived at Max Hospital in Dehradun to meet Pant.

Pant narrowly avoided a mis-hap on Friday

Pant, who narrowly avoided a big mis-hap on Friday, suffered burns and other wounds that required plastic surgery. If necessary, he might have been transported to Delhi. His car struck the divider on the Narsan border of Roorkee, close to Hammadpur Jhal, when he was driving back from Delhi to Roorkee.

BBCI also issued a statement after the accident saying, “Pant has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, and toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back. Rishabh’s condition remains stable, and he has now been shifted to Max Hospital, Dehradun, where he will undergo MRI scans to ascertain the extent of his injuries and formulate his further course of treatment, as per the BCCI official statement.

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, also announced on Sunday that the state would offer all assistance for the 25-year-treatment old’s treatment after he was gravely hurt in a car accident on his way to surprise his mother on December 30 in Roorkee.

Security video shows the exact second cricketer Rishabh Pant’s automobile slammed into the divider. A Mercedes-AMG GLE43 Coupe was shown in unsettling video from Uttarakhand ramming into a divider. His automobile caught fire after the collision near Roorkee, prompting him to flee by shattering the windscreen.
