Pakistan openers Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam took the game into their hands and made sure that Pakistan started the chase in incredible fashion. Babar and Rizwan scored runs left and right. Rizwan scored the most runs 57 of 43 balls on a strike rate of 132.56 and Babar scored 53 of 42 balls with a strike rate of 126.19.

Both the players were completely out of form and did not perform well in the group stages of the T20 World Cup, but as the tournament progressed the openers showed up to the party against the mighty inform New Zealand side who were shocked by the way in which the Pakistan batsman was dominating the game.

Alex Hales scored the most runs, followed by Jos Buttler with 80 runs off of 49 balls and a strike rate of 163.27.

Both openers played a key role in winning the match against India single-handily without even losing a wicket. Their partnership is now the second-highest partnership in T20I history. The way they placed the innings and handled the Indian bowlers in a calm and composed manner. We also saw how the England openers exposed the Indian bowling weakness.

Both the player was not that consistent in the group stages but when the team needed they stood up to the occasion and killed the Indian hope of winning the silverware. Now they will face an inconsistent Pakistan team in the final of the T20 World Cup at MCG on Sunday Afternoon.
