LSG vs GT Highlights IPL 2022
LSG vs GT Highlights: Gujarat Titans were the first side to effectively qualify for the IPL 2022 playoffs after defeating fellow newcomer Lucknow Super Giants by 62 runs. It was a low-scoring contest in which hitters from both teams struggled to get a swing. LSG seemed to be an incomplete charge at the midway point of the game, having held the Titans to a decent total. Rashid Khan and other GT bowlers, on the other hand, showed up in force and ruined LSG’s good time.
After winning the toss and Gujarat Titans decided to bat first at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Their episode didn’t get off to a good start, as in-form starter Wriddhiman Saha was dismissed for 5 runs. With one end held, Shubman Gill felt short of partners. Mohsin Khan and Avesh Khan of LSG had excellent new-ball bowling performances, as GT saw themselves in a difficult situation.
Matthew Wade and captain Hardik Pandya both failed to judge line and length against Avesh Khan, who scored 10 and 11 runs, respectively. David Miller scored 26 (24) with a 4 and a 6 before being removed by Jason Holder. After losing four wickets in 20 overs and despite Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 63 runs off 49 balls with seven fours, and Rahul Tewatia’s 22 runs off 16 balls, the team scored a respectable 144 losing 4 wickets in the 20 overs.

In pursuit of a decent number, Lucknow Super Giants went all out cheaply. The batting order was unable of forming vital partnerships between wickets. With the exception of Quinton de Kock 11(10), Deepak Hooda 27(26), and Avesh Khan 12 (4), no other part of the squad even scored in double figures.
However, the GT bowling order appeared to be impressive in preventing the LSG hitters’ ability to make even minor contributions to the scoreboard, which left no opportunity for the LSG batsmen to contribute in any way. Exceptional performances came from GT bowlers Rashid Khan (four wickets), Yash Dayal (two wickets), and Sai Kishore (two wickets), as well as Mohammed Shami (one wicket).
LSG were bowled out for only 82 runs in 13.5 overs, resulting in a clean sweep. The batting order was unable to survive the whole twenty overs. Thus, Gujarat Titans were the first squad to officially enter the IPL 2022 playoffs as a consequence of this victory.
