Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi leave for West Indies, Rohit-Rahul will join squad soon

Team India’s spin bowlers Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi are all set to leave for West Indies for the upcoming T20 series against West Indies, starting July 29.

The mystery spinner will return to action following his injury recovery. Kuldeep was selected for India’s team for the home T20I series against South Africa, but the left-arm spinner was unable to play in the five matches followed by Ireland and England tour due to an unknown injury.

“See you soon Caribbean. Can’t wait to join my teammates and get going,” he wrote in his caption for his recent post uploaded on Sunday.

When was the last time Kuldeep Yadav played for India?

Kuldeep last played for India made for India against Sri Lanka in February, the wrist spinner has made considerable strides. For the Delhi Capitals in 14 games, he has taken 21 wickets at an economy rate of 8.43.

Now, he needs to take advantage of the chance to increase his possibility of being chosen for the ICC T20 World Cup team.

Along with Kuldeep, the T20I team will also have young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, who would offer another option for spin bowling.

India are currently playing the ODI series against West Indies, with just one match left in the series.

Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul will soon join the India’s T20 squad for West Indies

Team India’s regular skipper Rohit Sharma has not been part of the ODI squad due to workload management, and in his absence Shikhar Dhawan was appointed as captain and team already clinch the series with 2-0 with one game left.

Apart from Rohit, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah were on rest for the one-day internationals. While Rohit, Pandya and Pant will join the team for the up next T20 against West Indies. The ex-skipper Virat and the speedster Jasprit Bumrah have been given rest for the T20Is also.

Rohit, who is currently in England after the recently concluded England’s tour, will fly to West Indies from England and India’s dependable opener KL Rahul, who missed the action for the past 2 months due to injury, will also join the squad in some days.

The first T20I of the five-match series will take place at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on July 29.
