IPL 2022: Rinku Singh wrote a surprising prediction on his hand and wins The player of the match

Rinku Singh of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batted brilliantly in the chase against Rajasthan Royals in an IPL 2022 match on Monday. His unbeaten innings have aided his team to the victory. But it was the forecast he made for himself that was more spectacular than the knock itself. KKR star Rinku Singh had also scribbled something on his hand, which he later disclosed to Nitish Rana, his partner.

Rinku informed Rana after achieving their seven-wicket victory that he had written in his palm that he was going to make a fifty and that he would win the player of the match award. Despite the fact that the victory came before either Rana or Rinku reached their fifties, both stayed unbeaten, and Rinku actually ended up getting the player of the match award.

“What have you written on your hands?” Nitish Rana asks Rinku in the KKR video. Rinku said, “I had a hunch I’d score runs and win Player of the Match tonight. I also drew a heart on my hand and put 50 runs on it.” Rinku also claimed that he had made the prediction before the match and that he had a sense he would do well against RR. “On the inside, there was a sensation. I had been hoping for a Player of the Match award for a long time… It took five years, but it finally arrived.”

Rinku stayed undefeated on 42 off 23 balls, while Nitish struck 48 runs off 37 deliveries to help KKR win by five wickets. Rinku Singh discussed his hardships and fights with injuries after the game. He also mentioned how, in a league like the IPL, he had to wait for frequent opportunities to make an impression. Despite making his debut in 2018, he has only played 13 IPL games as of Monday, May 2. This says much about his lack of possibilities.

He came out to bat at a crucial point in the game when KKR captain Shreyas Iyer was dismissed with 61 runs required to win. He took a few minutes to warm up before attacking the Royals’ bowlers. Things appeared bad for the Knight Riders at one point, but Rinku batted brilliantly and had a good time with Rana in the middle and head coach Brendon McCullum giving him encouragement during the time-out. KKR have won four of their previous ten games. In the IPL Points table, they are presently ranked eighth.
