IND-A Vs NZ-A 3rd Test Day 3 Highlights: India A ended the day on a high after setting the target of 416 runs for New Zealand A as the match result will decide on the final day on Sunday.

New Zealand were 20 for 1 at stumps on day 3, and would need to score more 396 runs on final day tomorrow to win the third and final test of the three-match series.

Earlier, India A maintained their dominance throughout the day and posted a mammoth total of 359 for 7 before declaring their second innings.

Indian batter came on crease with a plan in mind to put up a strong total on board on day 3 and did exactly the same by every batter did their job quite well as India A side managed to post 359 for 7.

Three batters (Priyank Panchal 62, Ruturaj Gaikwad 94, and Sarfaraz Khan 63) scored half-centuries in the process, while one (Rajat Patidar 109*) completed his century.

It was very unfortunate for Gaikwad, who scored a century in the first innings but missed his well-deserved second hundred in this match by just six runs, but Rajat Patidar did no mistake and completed his ton with ease.

Patidar strode in like a boss and maintained a fine tempo from the start. His knock was full of glorious cricketing shots that helped him record his second century of the series.

The star batter just need 3 more runs to record 1000 runs in a calendar year in first class cricket. He has so far scored 977 in 13 games at an average of 88.82 with the assistance of four tons and five half-centuries.

By declaring the innings at 359, the Indian side asked a tough question to the visitors by setting a target of 416 to win the third test and the series.

In reply, New Zealand batters walked in to bat to play the 14 overs left for the third day and ended the day at 20 for 1 as India’s Saurabh Kumar removed their opener Rachin Ravindra by trapping him lbw.

Joe Carter (6*) and Joe Walker (0*) will resume the proceeding for New Zealand on day 4 as they have to chase 396 more run to win the test on final day.
