Indian seamer Umesh Yadav will miss the rest of the English domestic cricket as the star bowler couldn`t recover from his quad muscle injury on time and has been ruled out for the remainder of the County season. Here we have discussed Umesh Yadav County update on ruled out.

Yadav suffered a quad muscle injury during the Royal London One-Day Cup game in Radlett on August 21. He then travelled to India for rehabilitation.

Umesh’s return was anticipated by Middlesex, but the right-arm pacer still has not fully recovered.

He will not be available for Middlesex’s last two matches of the country championships this month — against Leicestershire and Worcestershire, the club said in an official release.

“Middlesex Cricket regrets to announce that we have been made aware that Umesh Yadav will not be returning to London to finish the season with the Club and will play no further part in Middlesex’s County Championship run-in due to an ongoing injury to his quad muscle,” the County Club said in a statement.

“With two red-ball games remaining in the season — away to Leicestershire next week and away to Worcestershire the following week, Middlesex were hopeful that the Indian international would be returning to the Club to play a part in the push for promotion to the top flight of the Championship structure,” it added.

In preparation for the trip to Leicester the next week, the 34-year-old Yadav, who has bagged 158 wickets in 52 Tests and 106 in 75 ODIs, was supposed to fly back to London on Saturday. However, Middlesex stated it understands the circumstance.

“We have been advised that his injury is still a cause for concern and that he is deemed to have not recovered sufficiently to handle the workload required in a four-day game, so will not be returning to the Club.” Yadav joined Middlesex in July to play for the club in both First-Class and List-A formats.”

He grabbed 16 wickets in 7 List A games. However, in First Class matches, he was only able to claim four wickets.
