David Miller’s ‘Sorry Royals Family’ Tweet After GT Beat RR Goes Viral

David Miller’s phenomenal performance versus his former side, the Rajasthan Royals, in the first qualifier of the Indian Premier League 2022 propelled Gujarat Titans into the season finals.  RR had a commanding lead after posting an impressive 188/6 despite batting first at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The batsmen for GT, on the other hand, put up a tremendous performance and led their team to a victory by 7 wickets.

Miller was the most outstanding player for the Titans, who got the win despite having other batters contribute to it. The lefty, who was up to bat in the fifth spot, took a while to get comfortable before launching an assault on the defence. He seemed ruthless against the opposite bowling unit.

In point of fact, he made it even better for the Titans by hammering Prasidh Krishna for 3 consecutive sixes in the final over of the match. Miller produced an undefeated 68 runs off 38, with 3 fours and 5 maximums helping GT win the race within 19.3 overs. Miller apologized on Twitter after trashing his former team.

Miller served Royals from 2020-21, however, he warmed the benches occasionally, despite being affiliated with the team during those years. It should come as no surprise that the franchise decided to release him in front of this year’s major auction, and the Titans were able to get his services for a price tag of Rs 3 crore. Miller’s presence in the GT playing XI has been consistent, in contrast to the previous several seasons, and the decision to do so has been profitable.

Royals Respond To Miller’s ‘Sorry’ Tweet:

“I think opportunity, firstly (what’s changed?). I’ve been given a role, I felt extremely backed from the outset. My personal game – I’m enjoying my role, I’ve been playing for many years now. Understanding my game a lot better. In high-pressure situations you tend to go away from your gameplan but I feel like I’m trying to keep everything together close to the gameplan”, said Miller at the post-match presentation.

“There has been a lot of going wide to me on the off-side, so I decided actually for the first time to step across. Backed myself and went with it. The rest I tried to hit as hard as possible. That’s the joys of IPL – you play for different teams, get to meet different players. It was a new team so there are a few butterflies here and there”, the 32-year-old added.
