Prior to the first Test match against Bangladesh on Thursday in Antigua, the West Indies added experienced speed bowler Kemar Roach to their team.
Roach had suffered an injury while playing for Surrey County Cricket and was unsure if he would be able to participate in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which is also part of the World Test Championship 2021-2023.

Cricket West Indies stated on the eve of the first Test that Roach had passed a fitness examination and had been added to their team as the 13th player for the two Tests against Bangladesh.
Roach is the greatest wicket-taker for West Indies among active players in the traditional format of cricket, with 242 Test scalps in 71 games. The speed quartet of the West Indies bowling assault might include Roach, Alzarri Joseph, Jayden Seales, and Kyle Mayers.

The first Test between the West Indies and Bangladesh will take place at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Thursday (June 16).
