A lot of batters made headlines with their memorable hits, but only a select few were able to maintain their steady run production throughout the year. Suryakumar Yadav, an Indian batting sensation, finished 2022 as the highest run-scorer and climbed to the top of the T20I rankings.

The stylish batter participated in 31 T20Is and scored 1164 runs at an impressive average of 46.56 thanks to two hundreds and nine half-centuries, with his best score coming in at 117. Similar to Surya, Virat Kohli’s teammate attracted attention after regaining his mojo.

In particular, Kohli found his form during the Asia Cup, scoring his first century in the shortest format during a game against Afghanistan.

The former India captain displayed his exceptional skill at the T20 World Cup, where he finished as the tournament’s top run-scorer. The right-handed batter finished 2022 as the third-highest run scorer overall with 781 runs to his credit, including one hundred and eight fifty-run games.

Raza’s all-round display in the multi-nation tournament earned him a lot of praises from all around the world, and now he is all set to be part of the biggest T20I league in the world after Punjab Kings signed him for INR 50 Lacs in the Tata IPL mini-auction 2023.
