SL Vs PAK 1st test: Babar shines with century, becomes fastest Asian to score 10000 runs

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam once again showed his class and posted a superb century on the second day of first test match and also became the fastest Asian batter to score 10000 runs at the Galle International Stadium on Sunday.

The modern-day great Babar Azam’s ton helped his side cross the 200 mark but due to lack of support from the other end Pakistan were only able to put 218 runs on board to hand a 4-run lead to Sri Lanka.

As soon as Azam touched the 32-run mark he created another record by becoming the fastest Asian batter to score 10000 international runs.

With this, he surpassed India great Virat Kohli who previously hold the record of scoring fastest 10000 as an Asian in just 232 innings, while Babar achieved this feat in just 228 innings.
