On the 4th day of the match, Chandimal scored 124 runs before being the first man to be removed. He did so by providing Tamim Iqbal at assuming with a grab off Ebadot. During the morning and early hours of the match, Bangladesh seem unable to make any progress toward their goal, and after the tea break, they were able to take the last 5 wickets while only allowing 41 runs.

During his 2nd century of the series, Mathews played 342 balls, hit 12 fours and 2 sixes, and was first given out trapped behind by Khaled Ahmed on the score of 94. However, he was able to escape on review. It was initially decided that he would bowl leg-before to Mosaddek Hossain at 105, but that decision was later overturned.

During the opening session, Chandimal had a similar run of good fortune as a caught-behind judgment on the 4th delivery of Mominul Haque’s opening over was reversed and the ball was allowed to continue. Following two more balls, the right-hander nearly escaped a stumping opportunity on the score of 44.

Later on, he reached his century by hitting Ebadot for two consecutive fours before scoring a single in the same over to achieve the milestone. During his 219-ball innings, Chandimal smashed 11 fours and one six. His total hit total was 219.

On Day-5: Bangladesh continues to combat, and with the help of Shakib and Litton Das, they have foiled the visitors. They’ve now dropped Rahim and have taken the lead. Rajitha grabbed Rahim and became the bowler of choice. But, with conflicting strategies, Shakib and Litton Das have neutralized the challenge.

Shakib Al Hasan also looked quite good with the bat, scoring half-century at the stroke of lunch. The former was aggressive and looked for runs at every chance, but the latter depended on his defensive hitting to knock them out.
