Cricket South Africa’s CEO Comments

Pholetsi Moseki, the Cricket of South Africa’s CEO, said “We are increasing the number of Test matches over the next four years and will continue to emphasize the importance of Test cricket.

“We take the Test format very seriously and are serious about being a nation that plays the game. We still consider ourselves to be a very serious Test-playing nation, and we haven’t consigned it to the sidelines because of T20. To restore our Test team to the standards we demand of them, we wish to make an investment.”

He then concluded by saying “We want to be in the top three (in the world), but we are pushing for No. 1, even if it takes another three or four years to get there. Over the next two years, we are solidifying our position and building a bigger player pool.”

New Coach Before the World Test Championship Final

While South Africa still has ambitions of making it to the World Test Championship final. Despite losses in their two most recent series in Australia and England. The Test coach will currently only have two matches scheduled – at home against West Indies in March. Another one in the next 11 months.

The Test coach will have a supervisory function in the first-class system during the lengthy intervals between Tests. So he can pick the right squad for the future Test series.

Present Chances of World Test Championship

Currently, South Africa’s ability to go to the World Test Championship finals hinges entirely on Australia’s ability to overcome India in their test series. For the most recent information in real-time, follow Stumps and Bails.
