James Michael Anderson, popularly known as James Anderson, was born in Burnley, Lancashire, England on 30 July 1982. His team members call him Jimmy. Anderson is a right-arm medium-fast bowler, who plays for England, and has been the backbone of the English bowling lineup for the past 19 years, especially in Test cricket. Anderson is the highest wicket-taker in the world in the tests among fast bowlers. Wildly known as the best pace bowler in the history of test cricket, James Anderson has the ability to swing the bowl both ways. Jimmy is the only bowler in the world who has taken 1000 wickets in first-class matches. In the domestic circuit, James Anderson plays for Lancashire County Club.

In 2000, James Anderson made his List A debut for Lancashire. Two years later, Jimmy played his maiden first-class match and took a five-wicket haul. In 2002, James Anderson played 13 matches for the club and picked 50 wickets. In his debut season, Anderson won Most promising County player award.
