Mumbai Indians, who are already knocked out of the 15th edition of the IPL, will lock horns with Delhi Capitals in both team’s last league match today at the Wankhede Stadium.
And the speculations are rife among the fans that legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar will finally make his debut tonight against Delhi Capitals in MI’s final match of the IPL 2022 season.
The little Tendulkar was bought by MI ahead of IPL 2022 in the mega auction at Rs 30 lakh and ever since he is inside the MI bio-bubble.
Earlier, MI skipper Rohit Sharma also hinted at changes in the team for the last game as he wants to give every player a chance ahead of IPL 2023.
This season Mumbai has already gave chance to 21 out of 24 squad players, and only Arjun Tendulkar, Rahul Buddhi, and Aryan Juyal are the rest three who are yet to feature for MI. So as per what the skipper hinted, Arjun might get a call to play his first match on Saturday.
Last year, Arjun Tendulkar played two T20 matches for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he took 2 wickets.
Ahead of the clash against Delhi Capitals, Arjun Tendulkar posted a series of stories on his Instagram, where he was seen bowling some searing Yorkers during MI’s practice game.
As far as the game is concerned, Mumbai would like to end their campaign on a good note after a dreary season, there is a lot on the line for the Rishabh Pant-led side. Delhi Capitals need to beat Mumbai at any cost to edge past RCB and qualify for the playoffs.
