IND Vs BAN: The India team for the upcoming tour of Bangladesh has undergone a number of changes, according to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Ravindra Jadeja has been excluded from the ODI assignment, and Shahbaz Ahmed has been substituted in his place.
Yash Dayal has been ruled out from the series too, and Kuldeep Sen has been chosen to take his place. Dayal was unable to participate in the series due to a lower back problem, while Jadeja is still recovering from a knee injury and will remain under the care of the BCCI Medical staff.
The BCCI Medical Team will continue to monitor star all-rounder Jadeja, who is still dealing with a knee issue. Jadeja, a seasoned all-rounder, had previously suffered a knee ailment that prevented him from competing in the Asia Cup and Australia-hosted T20 World Cup in 2022.
Initial squads for the three-match ODI series in New Zealand, which begins on November 25 in Auckland, included replacements Kuldeep and Shahbaz. They dropped from the Kiwi project since they will now travel to Bangladesh.
India’s ODI team is currently playing in New Zealand, and the BCCI has not named a substitute for the duo.
Apart from Ravindra Jadeja, star Indian batters Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli are also not part of the New Zealand ODI series due to workload. While speedster Jasprit Bumrah, who missed the world cup, will miss the series too due to injury.
