ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings

India’s captain and vice-captain duo, Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana, respectively have retained their spot in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings released by the ICC on Tuesday.

Harmanpreet was successful in retaining her fifth spot with 716 points.

While, the star batter Smriti Mandhana is just behind her at sixth spot with 714 points.

Alyssa Healy, the skipper of team Australia for the India series, which will start from December 9 managed to remain on top of the table with 785 points.

Nat Sciver climbs to third spot in ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings

After contributing to England’s victory in the opening game of their ICC Women’s Championship (IWC) series against the West Indies in Antigua, Nat Sciver has risen to third place in the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings.

Sciver, who was named Player of the Match for her 90-run innings that helped England win by 142 runs, has climbed one spot and is now just one spot behind her career-best second place finish from April of this year.

Danni Wyatt, who played a knock of 68 has climbed up 3 places and reached to 18th spot, while wicketkeeper batter witnessed a one place jump to 30th place.

Charlie Dean, an off-spinner for England, moved up one spot to position 18 in the bowlers’ rankings after taking four wickets in the first ODI.

Hayley Matthews, the captain of the West Indies, moved up one spot to 17th after scoring a 32-ball 34 at the top of the order.

Pacer Chinelle Henry has moved up five spots to number 41 after finishing with three for 59.

Kerr has also moved from seventh to fifth among all-rounders.

NZ-W Vs BAN-W series performances in consideration 

The ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings take into consideration performances in the first two games of the series between New Zealand and Bangladesh.

Amelia Kerr has moved up 13 spots to rank 27th among batters in the ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings. Maddy Green has risen from 64th to 56th after scoring unbeaten knocks of 36 and 37.

Haley Jensen, a medium-fast bowler, has moved up seven positions to a career-best 12th position. Thanks to her strikes of three for eight and two for twelve. Lea Tahuhu, who also took five wickets in the two games, is now ranked 15th after moving up 23 spots. Fran Jonas has climbed 17 positions and is now for the first time among the top 20.

Medium-fast bowler Haley Jensen has reached a career-best 12th position. Her hauls of three for eight and two for 12 lifting her seven places. Lea Tahuhu, who also grabbed five wickets in the two matches, is up 23 places to 15th. Fran Jonas has progressed 17 places and is in the top 20 for the first time.

Indian players in Women’s ODI Player Rankings

Jhulan Goswami, who announced her retirement from international cricket couple of months back, currently the top bowler as Indian at 5th spot, while Rajeshwari Gayakwad is at ninth place.

Deepti Sharma is the top Indian all-rounder in the ICC Women’s ODI all-rounder rankings at sixth position.

The skipper of team India, Harmanpreet Kaur is the backbone of the side and will be the key player when the no.1 side Australia will tour India in upcoming days.

She has so far scored 754 runs at an average of 58.00. While maintaining a decent strike rate of over 89 in 2022.

The opening batter Smriti Mandhana, on the other hand, has amassed 696 runs in 15 innings she played so far this year at an average of nearly 50.
