How Is Mohammed Shami Faring Up for the T20 World Cup: Rohit Sharma Comments

Rohit Sharma Comments: The qualifying for the upcoming T20 World Cup will start on Sunday with Sri Lanka playing Namibia. The Super 4 stage will, however, begin on October 22 with Australia’s hosts taking on New Zealand.

However, on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. India and Pakistan will play in the one game that everyone will be watching. After arriving in Australia, Team India played two exhibition games against Western Australia XI. Before facing Pakistan, the team will compete in official warm-up matches against Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to the start of the T20 World Cup. All 16 captains were present at the ICC’s Captains’ Day in Melbourne. Where Team India skipper Rohit Sharma spoke to the media. Rohit then discussed the team’s preparations and the crucial match against Pakistan.

“We are aware of the game against Pakistan. But there is no need to constantly bring it up and put unnecessary pressure on yourself. Every time we compete against Pakistani athletes, we discuss how they and how their families are. We simply discuss current events, how people are doing, and any new cars they have recently purchased or plan to purchase “explained Rohit during the press conference.

Mohammed Shami was chosen by the All-India Senior Selection Committee on Friday to replace the hurt Jasprit Bumrah. As back-ups, Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj were also mentioned.

“Sport-related injuries are unavoidable; little can be done to prevent them. There will inevitably be injuries if you play these many games. Because of this, throughout the past year, we have concentrated on building bench strength and whenever possible. We have given younger players a chance. Shami tested positive for COVID-19 about two to three weeks ago while he was at his farm. He afterward proceeded to NCA to complete his treatment. Currently, he is in Brisbane “Rohit said.

“The Indian squad will travel from Perth to Brisbane, and tomorrow is practise. Whatever information we have on Shami so far has been encouraging, therefore he will train with the squad. He has bowled well for three to four sessions. But once more, we have worked extremely hard to control our players’ injuries over the past one to two years. Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do about it. This is the rationale for bench strength, “he added

Group 2 is where Team India is positioned. Along with Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, and the other two Super 12 qualifiers.

Bumrah questioned Rohit, who replied: “Although he is a good bowler, accidents do happen. There isn’t much you can do about it; we spoke with many experts regarding his injuries but received no helpful advice. Although the World Cup is significant, we value his career more. There is still a lot more cricket ahead of him even though he is only 27 or 28 years old. We cannot take such a risk, and the game was also recommended by the experts. He will certainly be missed, there is no denying that.”

The Indian skipper said the following about Suryakumar Yadav:

“He is playing well and is in good condition. We need him to perform well in the middle of the order, so I hope he keeps batting that way. He plays fearlessly and effectively. Although I hope he does, I want every member of our team to have the X-factor. I hope he maintains his strong play during the World Cup as well.”

Indian Squad: Rohit Sharma (c), KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant, Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya. R Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammad Shami. Standby Players: Mohammed Siraj, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, Shardul Thakur.
