Babar Azam Breaks the Record for Scoring Most ODI Runs in First 90 Innings

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is now successfully surpassed Hashim Amla for scoring the most runs in the first 90 Innings in an ODI format.

The South African legend Hashim Amla scored 4,556 runs in his first 90 ODI matches and now the Pakistan skipper Babar Azam officially surpassed the South African legend with a tally of 4664 runs in 90 innings.

The Pak skipper has managed to cap 17 centuries and 22 half-centuries in his 90 ODI matches. He also joins the elite list of players who have scored 4500 runs within 100 ODI matches of their career. Only Sir Vivian Richards, Hashim Amla, and now Babar Azam achieved this feat.

Pakistan was playing against the Netherlands in a three-match ODI series where the Pak came out victorious and claimed the series 3-0, even though Pakistan won the series the Netherlands National team gave a tough competition and gave the Pakistani batsman a run for their money in the three-match ODI series.

This will be the first time since 2019 that Babar Azam has not scored a century in a series. But he managed to score three half-centuries in three ODI matches.

Babar Azam is known for his elegant batting style and he is the key player for the Pakistan side, He has also been handed over the captaincy and given the responsibility to lead the side. Babar has been in excellent form, he is scoring left and right which is why he is the No1 batsman in the ODI and T20 formats of the game.

Pakistan is all set to enter the Asia Cup with a strong and excellent side and will be looking to create an impact in the Asia Cup, as the T20 World Cup Australia is also up close.

Pakistan will face India in the opening match of the Asia Cup in Dubai on August 28th. Both sides are looking strong and only time will tell who will stand tall and who will fall apart.
