Rashid Khan was born on 20 September 1998 in Nangahar, Afghanistan. He is recognized with the name Rashid Arman Khan. Rashid Khan is an Afghan right-hand leg-break bowler. He is also an effective batter in the lower middle order for his team. Rashid Khan has been a constant and a crucial member of his national side since his debut in 2015. He has also captained the Afghanistan team for a few months. Rashid Khan is considered the best spinner in the world in recent times. He has troubled almost all the best batters in the world. Rashid Khan started off his cricketing life at the age of 12 years. He fled to Pakistan with family due to war in Afghanistan and learned his bowling skills in the Pakistan. Rashid Khan made his domestic first-class debut after making International appearance in 2015. He played his first domestic match against England Lions
in Abu Dhabi in December,2016 and picked 12 wickets in the match. He also smashed a half century on his debut match.

Rashid Khan impressed everyone with his skills before making his debut for Afghanistan. Rashid Khan made his International Debut on 18 October 2015 in an ODI match against Zimbabwe. Rashid made his T20I debut in the same series against Zimbabwe 7 days later after his ODI debut.
In a T20I match against Ireland in 2017, Rashid took his maiden 5-wicket haul and just gave away 3 runs. He just bowled 2 overs and picked 5 wickets in the match. Rashid was awarded with Player of the match award for the match.

In February 2019, Rashid Khan picked 4 wickets in 4 balls against Ireland in a T20I match. In the same month, in a test match against India, Rashid Khan picked his maiden 5 wicket haul in tests in an innings and became first Afghan bowler to achieve the record.
Rashid Khan was picked up in the squad of Afghanistan in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2019. During a match against England in the World Cup, Rashid Khan conceded 110 runs in 9 overs.
After the ICC World Cup, Rashid Khan was appointed as the captain of the national side for all the three formats of Cricket. During his first match as the captain, Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by a huge margin of 224 runs and Rashid Khan picked 10 wickets in the match and also scored a half century in the match.
Rashid Khan stepped down as the captain of the national side after the selection of Afghan team for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
