Perry hit seven fours and four sixes in his unbeaten 72 off 42 balls. She played a brilliant innings and destroyed Team India’s bowlers by scoring quick runs.

The all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner was also superb with the bat, as she smashed 42 in just 27. Her knock included three fours and three sixes.

Grace Harris scored an unbeaten 27 off 12 balls while batting during the death overs. Australia’s outstanding batting allowed them to score 188 runs in 20 overs.

India faced a shaky start when they lost both of their destructive openers inside the powerplay and reliable batter Jemimah Rodrigues during the seventh over of the 189-run chase game.

Harmanpreet Kaur and Devika Vaidya then tried their best to bring India back in the game with a 72-run partnership in just 45 deliveries before left the crease after scoring 46 off 30.

But the match took a thrilling turn in the end. In the final three overs, Team India needed to score 41 runs, and only three runs were scored and one wicket fell in the 18th over. After this, Team India’s defeat was all but guaranteed, but Richa Ghosh instigated a coup in the 19th over.

Richa caused a sensation when she hit Heather Graham for sixes on the first, second and four on the third ball. However, in the following three balls, Team India could only score 2 runs.

In the final over, Team India had to score 19 runs. In this over, Deepti Sharma hit two fours. Richa and Deepti ran for four runs, but they were unable to defeat the opposing team.

Richa Ghosh hit four fours and two sixes in her unbeaten 40 off 19 balls.
