Australia 15-member squad for T20 WC 2024

Australia have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup scheduled to be played in the USA and West Indies.

Mitchell Marsh was appointed captain of the team, while the WTC and ODI World Cup captain Pat Cummins is also part of the squad.

Former skipper Steven Smith has failed to make the cut following his struggles in the shortest format of the game, having scored 11 and a four during New Zealand series in February this year.

Apart from him, the young sensation Jake Fraser-McGurk, who is playing destructively best in the biggest T20 league has been left out of the squad.

Fraser, despite his explosive 233 strike rate in IPL, hasn’t played any T20 game for his national side, while he featured in only 2 ODIs, which became the reason for his exclusion.
