All You Need To Know: Asia Cup 2023 Time Table, Asia Cup Schedule 2023

The Asia Cup is a white-ball cricket competition played in both 50-over and 20-over formats. The tournament began as a one-day international competition. However, it was decided prior to the 2016 edition of the competition that it will be played in both formats depending on the impending ICC global event. Let us look into details at Asia Cup 2023, Asia Cup Schedule, Streaming Details, Format

The Asia Cup 2023 schedule was eventually released last month by Jay Shah, BCCI secretary and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chief, after considerable anticipation. On Tuesday, the match times were released.

The tournament is being played in a hybrid format this time after Shah announced last year that India would not be coming to Pakistan for the event. The tournament will kick off on August 30 at Multan, Pakistan, with a match between Pakistan and Nepal. The much-anticipated India-Pakistan battle will take place on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. On September 4, India will meet Nepal in the other group stage match at the same location.

The competition’s first edition was contested in the 50-over format in 1984, while the tournament was played in the T20 format for the first time in 2016. The continental championship has been held 15 times so far.

The Asia Cup schedule and structure are determined by the number of participating teams. When fewer than six teams compete, the competition is usually played in a round-robin format. The final pits the top two teams from the league stage against each other.

If six teams enter the event, they are split into two groups. The top two teams from each group advance to the Super 4s, where they play each other team once. The top two teams then compete in the championship game.
