Asia Cup 2022 Format?
The Asia Cup 2022 will commence from August 27 to September 2011. For the second in the history of Asia Cup, the tournament will be played in T20 format. The competition’s format was changed from the 50-over format that was used in 2018. The Asian Cricket Council has took this step to aid teams in getting ready for the upcoming ICC T20I World Cup taking place in October of this year.
Six team will take part in the Asia Cup 2022, with 5 test playing are already. While the remaining one spot will be filled after the qualifiers. There are four teams (Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore, UAE) who will compete in the qualifiers to secure that one place.
Asia Cup 2022 Venue?
This will be the 15th edition of Asia Cup. The prestigious event will take place this time in Sri Lanka. Although because of the political crisis in the Island, the big tournament can be likely be played at Bangladesh, although nothing is final as of now as the ACC will decide this matter in the meeting later this month.
