Chasing a target of 143 proved to be a difficult task for the Brisbane Heat, as they lost their first three wickets inside the powerplay.
With 38 for 3 in 5.4 overs, the best partnership of the innings of 24 runs between Jess Jonassen and Charlie Knott ended with Jonassen dismissal.
Alana King of Perth then gripped Brisbane’s innings with her magical spell of five-wicket haul, as Jess Jonassen-led Brisbane bundled out for 114.
Laura Harris was the top run-scorer for Brisbane. She tried her best during her 21-ball 40 knock, but it wasn’t enough.
