Webb-Matthews partnership
Chasing a target of 140 was not a big deal for the star-studded batting line-up of Melbourne Renegades, but the pressure of losing the first two games was there before chasing.
However, the Renegades openers burst away that pressure and went on to add 100-plus runs for the first wicket and put her side in a solid position to win the match.
Courtney Webb and Hayley Matthews added 102 in 10.5 overs before Webb got out for 61 off 37. While Matthews played a knock of 41 off 27.
Melbourne Renegades faced a bit tense moment after losing their third wicket at 120 but owing to Webb and Matthews splendid foundation of the run-chase, the team secured the victory with 14 balls to spare.
