Bumrah Came To Bat At No. 11:
At the time of the fourth day of the first test match of the continuing India’s tour of New Zealand held in Wellington, New Zealand, Daryl Mitchell has shown an extraordinary fielding to dismiss Jasprit Bumrah, one of the dangerous bowlers of team India.
It has happened on the last ball of 81st over. The New Zealand seamer Tim Southee bowled a full-length delivery, Bumrah had hit the ball. In second slip, the ball flying low and away from Mitchell, his quick reactions saw him catching a one-handed stunner.
In 81st over, Bumrah has come to bat at No. 11 and he scored zero runs in three balls as the whole team of India was dismissed in 81 over with a score of 191 runs in their second innings. The opening batsman scored the highest with the help of 7 fours and one six, and his score was 58 runs in 99 balls.
In the past, MS Dhoni has impressed with Bumrah’s performance, and Dhoni termed him as the ‘Find of the Tour’. The youngster has plastered his place in the Indian team, within no time. He was India’s specialist bowler in the death overs. But after the injury, he was unable to play well.
Tim Southee Has Declared As The Man Of The Match:
Mitchell, who was involved in New Zealand’s Test team of the 12-man squad, failed to pin down spinner Ajaz Patel to make the final cut. Having come in as a substitute fielder, he did his best to hand Southee his 10th Test five-wicket haul.
With the bowling figures 21-6-61-5, Tim Southee was the key bowler of the Kiwis. In the first innings, he had picked four wickets. So, the 31-year old right-arm fast-medium bowler has declared as the Man of the Match.
Pursuing an irrelevant nine-run target, New Zealand opening batsmen Tom Latham with seven runs and Tom Blundell with two runs reached their goal in only ten balls. As the hosts Kiwis team enrolled their second achievement in the progressing ICC World Test Championship.
