Mumbai Indians Home Grounds
The Indian Premier League Governing Council recently confirmed that the 15th edition of the scheduled matches will be hosted over 4 venues in Mumbai and Pune. Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium and the DY Patil Stadium will hold 4 fixtures apiece for each side, whereas the Brabourne Stadium (CCI) and the MCA International Stadium in Pune each will hold 3 fixtures. Here we have mentioned Mumbai Indians Home Grounds.
As a consequence of the BCCI’s judgment, the Mumbai Indians (MI) would be the only team to play 4 home games. Other IPL teams were not happy, and they admittedly voiced their dissatisfaction to the BCCI.

Furthermore, according to a BCCI source, the board hasn’t witnessed any written objections. Therefore, the decision to grant MI 4 games at Wankhede Stadium was based exclusively on the league’s criteria.
The Wankhede Stadium has a deep and famed heritage with the Mumbai Indians. Besides taking advantage of its benefits, the five-time winners have turned the stadium into a stronghold.
The Reliance-owned franchise is well-suited to the characteristics and conditions of the soil. The dew impact, extra bounce, and short borders have all played an important role in how the team has constructed its lineup. In their 4 games at the Wankhede, MI will find it incredibly tough for their rivals to restrict them.
#DY Patil Stadium
Whichever team the Mumbai Indians confront in the IPL 2022 will consider themselves a distant team. The side captained by Rohit Sharma is well-versed in the city, despite playing a range of matches there in recent years.
MI has performed at 3 of the 4 approved venues, hence they are familiar with them. For the initial two seasons of the IPL, MI played their home matches at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
#Brabourne Stadium
Mumbai also contested all 7 home matches at Brabourne Stadium during their 3rd IPL season in 2010. MI won 6 of the 7 matches played at Brabourne Stadium that year.
With the exception of the previous two editions, when the league was switched to the UAE due to the COVID outbreak, the team has played their home games at the Wankhede Stadium.
The upcoming IPL 2022 is expected to bring spectators back to the venues. As per speculations, 40 percent of fans would be permitted inside stadiums during the tournament’s early part of the season.
This signifies that the Mumbai Indians will be on standby to boost their team on the field. MI will have an edge over the other teams in IPL 2022 due to their tremendous home advantage, particularly at the Wankhede Stadium.
Home supporters are frequently often used as 12th players for any team, and MI would boost by competing in front of their home crowd in Mumbai.
