Rajasthan Royals’ 16-run win over CSK brought the debate to the fore as to whether MS Dhoni had not grabbed the opportunity to come up with the order and take the game by the scruff of his neck. Sam Curran, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Kedar Jadhav were sent ahead of Dhoni, who came in at No.7-a slot he’s only beaten six times in 12 IPL editions-but did so for the second time this season. “MS is a specialist towards the end of the innings, always has been. Curran was there trying to hit and keep us in the game at that point when we were lagging behind” said Fleming.
