After their first loss of this season against Sunrisers Hyderabad, there was another blow from the IPL. Delhi Capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer has been fined for slow overrate. Iyer has made only 17 runs out of 21 balls as the side has to taste their first defeat by a margin of 15 runs. IPL governing body stated that – “As it was his team’s first offense of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offenses, Mr. Iyer was fined Rs 12 lakh.”
