West Indies pacer Shannon Gabriel claims he needs to forget last year’s scandal between him and Joe Root’s skipper but maintained the facts didn’t come out completely. After the St Lucia Test match in February 2019, Gabriel had copped a four-match suspension for tossing ‘political violence’ at Root, but his remarks have never been made public. Root was heard on the stump microphone, telling Gabriel “do not use it as an insult. There’s nothing wrong with being gay,” while not picking up the Western Indian ‘s comments.
